Day 0 : Arrival Day - Welcome to Tanzania

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet our company representative (Guide or Driver), and transfer to Masailand Safari Lodge. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay: cosy rooms, hot water, and Internet access. In the evening, there will be a briefing with our Safari guides, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the safari.

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, collect our picnic lunch boxes then we take a short pleasant morning drive to Tarangire National Park, Arrive at the gate our driver will do all the government procedures then proceed inside the park for a full day game drive in the park located slightly off the main safari route. Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania most famous for its elephant migration, and birding safari with a quiet atmosphere. Later in the evening, we drive to the lodge/hotel for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 2 : Tarangire National Park-Serengeti National Park (central-Seronera)

After breakfast our driver will be ready to start your trip to our famous park Serengeti National Park ‘The Endless Plain” This Park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “Big Five”: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo.

Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles that join the wildebeests’ trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of Serengeti just like how you imagined African wildlife to be. After a long day of Safari, you will drive to your accommodation for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Northern Serengeti

Starting your day by 8am after a filling breakfast, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today and move towards the northern part of the park.

The enroute game drive towards the Kogatende region will offer mild action from the resident game. As you approach the northern part of the Serengeti, you will notice the terrain change from the usual plain grassland to more hilly and broken terrain. The northern region offers a variety of resident game such as zebras, topi, gazelle, buffaloes, leopards and lions.

A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long drive itself. Based on the time of your arrival you will be able to spend a few hours by the Mara River. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night's rest in your accommodation.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti National Park

As usual, you will finish a good breakfast and begin your day by 8am. In the months between mid-June to September, the migration can be found in this region. From mid-June to September, the Mara River in this region offers the most dramatic river crossing of the great migration.

Fierce, deep and heavily rain-fed, the river takes an enormous toll on the migrating wildebeest. Watching the wildebeest surging through the torrential flow, some drowning and a few falling preys to lurking crocodiles is an unforgettable sight.

If it’s your lucky day you will be able to witness this natural wonder and watch nature take its course. Tracing the great migration you might even move towards the Lobo valley. The pristine Lobo valley is scattered with woodlands, plains, hills and famous granite Kopjes.

It offers an enormous amount of big cats game with lions, leopards and cheetah in plenty. During the dry season, the permanent water sources in the valley attract plenty of resident and migratory animals, resulting in excellent game viewing.

During the full day game drive, you will have a stop where you can have your picnic lunch. The day comes to an end with a tasty dinner and a good rest in your choice of accommodation.

Day 5: Northern to Central Serengeti

Starting your day at of 8am after a heavy breakfast, today you will head south towards central Serengeti. The four hour drive to the centre will offer mild enroute game.

The drive south from the Mara river valley takes you through hill country, the Lobo area, woodlands and then back into Seronera terrain.

The central portion of the Serengeti - known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengetis' species.

As you make your way into the Seronera region, you will begin to notice the hilly and broken terrain altering into plain grasslands. In Seronera one must really lookout for the many lions prides that thrive in this region.

The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 6 : Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In the morning, at 7am, you will head out for a short game drive in the Serengeti after a good breakfast. After completing a half-day game drive along with a picnic lunch, we will branch out and head towards the Ngorongoro crater rim.

The 75km drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim will take about 2.5 hrs, with mild game action to see on the way. The crater is one of Africa’s impressive geological attraction and supreme mecca of wilderness.

The day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good rest in your choice of accommodation. Get a good rest and refuel yourself, for the following day you will descend into the massive crater.

Day 7 : Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

n this day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descend at around 6:30 am into the crater floor.

The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended.

The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the top exit of the crater.

This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location at Arusha by 6 PM in the evening.

With incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

When and where does the tour Start?
The tours are scheduled to depart on Daily basis. However, circumstances like clients’ arrival time, activities to be done and clients preference could affect the program. Our company is flexible for such arrangements and adjustments. Normally the program starts around 8:00 AM.
When and where does the tour End?
The tour depends with the itinerary. We end all our safaris at the airport or at the Hotels in Arusha or Moshi town where our clients may have wished for their drop-off. However, our travel specialists will need to know your specific drop-off point prior to the safari to get aligned with the program.
Do you arrange airport Transfer?
Yes of course, We arrange airport transfers for our clients at an extra cost of $50 per vehicle. Normally, the drafted itineraries have excluded the transfers before and after safari. We however advise you to give prior information to our travel specialists before boarding your flight to Tanzania.
Do you arrange accommodation before and after safari?
Yes of course, We arrange for accommodation when requested by our clients at an extra cost depending with the accommodation level they will prefer to stay in. Normally, the drafted itineraries have excluded the accommodations before and after safari because not all clients will wish to stay in our specific accommodation choices. For any accommodation bookings, remember to give us prior information of the comfort level you would prefer and we shall advice which hotels will suit you best before we get all confirmations on program.
