Serengeti National Park

Tanzania’s Wildlife Paradise

Home of the Great Migration and Africa’s Iconic Wildlife Experience

General Information

Serengeti National Park

Located in northern Tanzania, Serengeti National Park is one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries. Covering approximately 14,750 km², the park forms the heart of the wider Serengeti ecosystem, extending into Kenya’s Maasai Mara. Its vast open plains, rolling savannahs, and riverine forests are home to one of nature’s most breathtaking spectacles — the annual Great Migration of over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles.

Established in 1951, Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is widely regarded as the crown jewel of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
