Dreams came true
After 6 days of continuous ascent, starting at 2,100 meters above sea level we managed to summit in the early morning of Monday, October 21 on Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters above sea level and the highest free standing mountain in the world. This means that it is not part of any mountain range such as the Himalayas or the Andes or the Sierra Madre Oriental in Mexico. During these 6 days of continuous ascent we were adapting to height, perhaps one of the biggest challenges to achieve summiting, adapting the body to the lack of oxygen at that height. We had the opportunity to enjoy 4 ecosystems, starting with rainforest, savanna, semi-alpine desert and glaciers. The morning of the ascent we had the fortune that the previous day snowed, which allowed us to enjoy a white summit. The final ascent was more than 1,270 meters until reaching Uhuru Peak, after 7 hours of continuous ascent in the dark, with an average slope of 35%, temperatures below minus 20 degrees Celsius until reaching Stella Point at 5,755 meters (slightly above Orizaba Peak) which is the point of arrival at the crater and from which we could enjoy a beautiful sunrise, to continue skirting the crater until reaching its highest part which is Uhuru Peak. After reaching the summit and putting the Orizaba banner on high proudly, we started the return that took us 4 hours to arrive well, thank God, at base camp.I share some photos and a small video where you can see the conditions in which we arrived at base camp, the afternoon before the ascent.I send you a hug and cheer chingao!

It was a unique experience! A big kudos to the great team of Godlists, who really enjoyed the climb and who took care of you all around: Morning coffee/tea in the tent and in the evening hot water in the bottles to warm up:-) and there was very delicious food. I still wonder how to make such a delicious pizza at 4000m...

Amazing Experience on Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti with GM Expeditions
I had the privilege of embarking on a Kilimanjaro expedition with GM Expeditions, and I can’t recommend their service enough. From the start, the guides and the team showed impressive dedication throughout our journey on the Lemosho route. Their constant attention to our needs and health monitoring made this experience truly unforgettable. They were always focused on our safety and comfort, allowing us to fully enjoy each moment on the mountain. The second leg of our trip was a five-day safari in the Serengeti with a private driver for our group of five. The experience included comfortable accommodations and all meals, which perfectly met our expectations. Our guide, with 17 years of experience, knew the Serengeti inside and out, enabling us to see all the animals we wanted and take amazing pictures. His knowledge and passion offered us a unique perspective, explaining the area’s history and fascinating details about the wildlife. He also helped us negotiate with the Maasai tribe to have an authentic and enriching experience with them. Without a doubt, GM Expeditions made our journey an unforgettable adventure, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone wanting to explore the magic of Tanzania with a professional, reliable, and dedicated team.

An unforgettable adventure
The Kilimanjaro ascent with GMExpeditions can only be recommended! We walked the Machame route as a couple and had a really great team around us with whom we felt safe and in good hands at all times. The atmosphere among the employees in the team is extremely good and you have the feeling of being perceived as an individual person and also that the individual wishes are taken into account (which may not always be the case in a large group of larger companies). We were definitely very happy to have chosen this one among all the providers. And of course - thanks to the great team - we also made it to Uhuru Peak 😉

Exciting, challenging and wouldn’t want to go with any other company
GMExpeditions had incredible people helping us, guiding us through the climb. They really cared about us and not just supplied our needs. I developed friendships with our porters and guides. I am so grateful that we chose them to help us through this amazing adventure.

Great Climb up Kilimanjaro and Safari
GM Expeditions did a fantastic job of assembling a great team of guides and porters for our trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro followed up with a 3-day safari at Mgunga Camp (and hot air balloon ride). Some of the best food we’ve ever had and the guides were exceptionally knowledgeable.

This trip was amazing! Great guides and porters that made our trip spectacular! Highly recommend for a great time! Our group loves the outdoors but also aren’t the best fit but they understood and went at a pace that was best for everyone in our group! The waitstaff and workers always made me feel safe the whole time! So glad they had our backs all the way to the top!!

Amazing trip to Tanzania with GM Expeditions!
Just back from a two week adventure in Tanzania with GM Expeditions. This is a top notch outfit and I couldn't recommend them more highly. The owner Godlisten is extremely attentive to all details and he has a top notch crew. You will be met at the airport and ensconced on your hotel, and then briefed on all aspects of the trips. We had a group of 21 climbers attempting to summit Kilimanjaro and miraculously 21 of 22 climbers made it to the top. You will have you own friendly porter carrying most of your stuff and greeting you in camp, and they pay close attention to your vital signs and monitor for altitude sickness. If you need extra help, you will have a dedicated guide. They will prepare three square meals a day and serve it in a communal tent. The soups are a highlight. All of the staff are friendly and you will get to know them. Summit day is an adventure with a midnight departure and sunrise at or near the top. We also tacked on a four day safari at Mgunga camp in the Serengeto where we saw countless animals and enjoyed the hospitality of this unique place. Overall an incredible adventure and we will be back!
